Antique 1912 Napoleon III French Chatelaine Dance Carnet de bal

 

For sale is a beautiful Antique made around 1870s, but dated 1912 with a museum sticker in the front, this beautiful French Chatelaine Dance Carnet/ Napoleon III Carnet de bal necklace Notebook was used in formal and non formal dances, competitions to record dancing partners and memoirs etc, the outer book is made from purple velvet with a small mirror centre, and a gold tested frame. The beautiful period pencil, is silver topped, and allows the little to close shut. This rare piece is unwritten in, and had print illustrations in of dance poses, with headings such as contredanses, valses and galops. In beautiful condition, only issue with this piece is that the front velvet is worn a little so please see photos for more details. Guaranteed original or money back.
