For sale is a Vintage 1930s Willis Builders Bournemouth Social History Note Book & Cards which is an important part of Bournemouth, Boscombe and Christchurch social history.
This notebook on the front states; “ WILLIS (Bournemouth LTD) builders merchant Wimborne Road, Bournemouth tel Winton 123 lines also at 100 Ashely Road, Parkstone, tell Parkstone 12122 lines, Broadstone, Dorset, tell Broadstone 79 three lines”
Accompanying this are two business cards in there one from “ ladies, tailoring and specialty, personal supervision, WJ, Rogers, ladies and gents. Taylor, 12 Seabourne Road, Boscombe, East Pokesdown tram stop” and one for “Rosser & Sturman Charles Baker house, estate and insurance agent stock and chair brokers 808 Christchurch Road, Boscombe opposite Parkwood Road corner, Bournemouth and at Branksome”
The note book has a faux tortoise shell celluloid cover, and all pages are marked with notes for building jobs in Bournemouth and Christchurch for the 1930s.
