For sale is an Antique 1920s Black Leather & Gold Leaf Gentleman’s Portable Travel necessaire. This beautiful antique necessaire bound in black leather and bordered by a gold leaf border edge, a gold leaf escutcheon, a double “protected 13279” lock, gold leaf handles and a complete contents including a dark royal green velvet & black leather gold leaf liner, two unused fauxbone tooth brushes, one long glass scent bottle topped with a silver plated screw lid, a pair of crystal cut silver plated topped lids, a mother of Pearl handles button hook, a mother of Pearl handled file, a pair of extravagant twist handles scissors, a wooden hair brush, a campaign mirror, and a trinket/ jewellery pull out tray. Overall this is in great condition, with wear down to a minimum on the leather, all gold leaf still present and all content present this is a truly beautiful example of an officers/ higher class gentleman’s carry portable necessaire.
