For sale is a Beautiful Antique Hand Carved Irish Bog Wood Three Leaf Lucky Clover Photograph Frame which has Military Interest. This frame measures 6.2cm in diameter x 1.2cm depth. This is mostly in good condition however there is a chip which can be seen in the photos for more details. The frame currently holds a photograph of a man an officer in uniform with presumably his child.
Bog wood is wood from ancient trees that were buried in peat bogs and preserved for hundreds or thousands of years. Irish bog wood usually dates to between 1 AD and 4,000 BC, but the oldest bog wood found in Ireland dates to 7,000 BC.
