For sale is an original Vintage Enamel Eduardo Paolozzi artwork badge. One of Eduardo's finest examples of british pop art, reflected in the pin. This Limited Edition piece features the famous “Memphis” design in Black and White and was produced circa 1984.
 
 
 
 
The reverse is engraved F C Parry 0215234195 with the signature of Eduardo Paolozzi (the signature is very worn but I guarantee you it Is there. In mostly good condition, however missing a small piece of enamel so please see photos for more details.

Sir Eduardo Paolozzi was the eldest son of an Italian family in Scotland.
 
 
He trained at various schools during the 1940s before visiting Paris.
 
 
In 1952, he became a founder member of the Independent Group
 
 
and made important contributions to the theory and practice of the Pop Art movement in Britain.
 
 
 
The machine-part ruins of industrial manufacturing are recast in physical and graphic forms to document the shift,
 
 
during the 1960s, towards consumer society and post-modernism.
 
 
 
Paolozzi made several very significant pieces of public art. His sculpture of Sir Isaac Newton (after William Blake) is in the courtyard of the British Library. And then he was knighted in 1988.
