Fundraising badge produced for the South Australian Red Cross in 1918. Such badges were sold in trams, buses, at railways stations and at rallies to raise money for the stated cause. This example is associated with the one of the many Red Cross fundraising appeals held in Adelaide to assist the Red Cross in its activities at the Front. The South Australian Red Cross alone raised 256,465 pounds in donations during the war.
