Charles Offler, born on the 11th of September 1880, in Nottingham. Charles Offler settled down, and married Jenny Offler, where they had two children.

Charles Offler was awarded a ww1 victory medal and a ww1 war medal. Unfortunately only the victory medal is present. Upon enlisting. Charles Offler began serving with the South Staffordshire regiment under the number 28637, and then later was transferred to the Labour corps under the number 15171. It was whilst he was serving with the Labour corps that he was awarded the ww1 victory and ww1 war medal.

Charles Offler was discharged on 7th of March 1919.

Unfortunately Charles Offler died on the 9th of the August 1923, (ages 43 years old) and left behind a widow and two children. In the research you can see that Charles’s widow was claiming widows pension; which was usually only accepted if a husband/ boyfriend or fiancé was killed at war. Perhaps he died as a result of being wounded at war, were not to sure.

Accompanying this medal is 6 scans of his service records. Upon payment please let me know if you would prefer digital scans or printed copies. There is still plenty of research to be done on this medal!

These will be sent via royal mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
