For sale is a early post WW2 Gun drill Pamphlet Titled; 
 
“GUN DRILL FOR QF 17-pr MARK 1 GUN ON CARRIAGE 17-pr, MARKS 1 AND 1W 1949 (This gun drill supersedes Gun Drill for QF 17-pr Mark 1 Gun on Carriage 17-pr, Mark 1, 1946)”. This was published by the war office on the 20th January 1949.
 
This pamphlet was issued and named to Major J Stuart White of the kings own Scottish Borders. 
 
The aim of this pamphlet was to do the following;
 
“This pamphlet is written for the guidance of Nos. 1 and instructors. The principles of anti-tank gunnery are fully described in Artillery Training, Volume III, Pamphlet No. II, 1948, and are not mentioned in these notes unless a description is necessary for the under- standing of the duties of the detachment. 2. Routine maintenance which is part of the drill of the detachment, and notes on care and preservation of the equipment, are given in Chapter 7. A full descrip- tion of the gun and ammunition will be found in the Maintenance Manual and the Handbook for the Ord- nance, QF 17-pr, Mark 1 on Carriage, 17-pr Marks 1 and IW. 3. The summary of principal duties contained in this chapter is not a comprehensive list, but is intended as a guide to Nos. 1 and instructors, who should use their own words in explaining the various duties. The details of the various duties will be found in the relevant sections throughout the gun drill.“
