For sale is a Vintage Robertsons Advertising Golly Bagpipe Player Badge By Fattorini & Sons.

A good original circa 1950's period 'Robertson's bagpiper Golly pin badge', wearing a white waistcoat, bright blue coat, with the slogan 'Golden Shred' on gold translucent enamel bagpipe bag, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'F&S’. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.

Robertson’s jam "Golly" badges were iconic promotional enamel pins based on the Golliwog character, used by the British manufacturer James Robertson & Sons from 1910 until 2001. Over 20 million badges, featuring the mascot in various outfits, were issued in exchange for tokens from jam jars.
