The Church Lads’ Brigade (CLB) were the Anglican Church’s own uniformed youth organisation for young people from 5 to 21 years of age. The CLB were formed in 1891 and the Church Girls’ Brigade in 1901 both taking the motto “Fight the Good Fight”. The first Irish branch of the CBL was formed in 1893. In 1978 the two organisations were amalgamated and renamed the Church Lads and Girls Brigade, at the time have around 15,000 members across all ranks and grades.

The CLB crest depicted on this badge was adapted from that used by the Gordon Boy’s Brigade that formed part of the CLB in 1891.
