For sale is a WW2 Medal Group to Beverley James Ditcham. 

 
Ditcham was born on the 30th May 1925 in Wandsworth, London. His parents were Sinclair Frank Ditcham (1884-1953) and Helen Fraser Lauder born in 1880. Ditcham has a brother called Winfred who was born in 1919. 
 
Ditcham joined the 2nd hampshire battalion home guard in 1940 aged just 15 years of age. Where he served with them until 1943. 
 
Upon turning 18 years of age Ditcham enlisted in reading on the 8th January 1943 into the territorial army. His service number was 1151648 and his address on enlistment was Highclear park Newbury. He later went to officer training cadet college, where on the 4th of movement 1944 he was promoted to the rank of 2nd lieutenant in the royal regiment of artillery and then later again promoted to war substantive lieutenant WS/Lieutenant.
 
Ditcham remained in the home guard for duration of the war at the rank of WS/ Lieutenant and did not serve any service out side of the United Kingdom. 
 
On the 7th of November 1947 he was discharged in Woolwich. In which he was then living at Ranleigh, wellington Avenue Virginia water Surrey.
 
Ditcham after the war married Margret Bruce in 1955 in Kensington. where they both lived at 2 Bentinck Mansions, St Marylebone. Sadly Ditcham later died whilst living at that address.
