For sale is a large Set Of Unused WW1 German Kriegsmarine Sailor's recreation home advertising Stamps. They were produced as advertising for ‘Sailor's recreation home’. The sailor's recreation home is a listed and privately owned former sailor's home in Kleinmachnow am Zehlendorfer Damm. There are 40 of these stamps here, with as much as 12 attached in one group, this price is for all 40 of them. History below:
 
 
The sailor's recreation home was built in 1910 in the Kleinmachnow villa colony belonging to Zehlendorf on a 16,000 square meter plot. The property consisted of four buildings; a casino building, the officer's house with officer's and crew room with several lounges, a kitchen wing and a bathing facility.
 
 
After the Second World War, only pedestal remains of the casino building and officer's house remained. Only the team house 2, the administration building and the enclosure remained in a dilapidated condition. The team house 2 consists of 13 residential or Bedrooms for quiet seafarers. The administration building comprises several offices, a library and the apartment of the head of the institution. In 2008, the state of Brandenburg placed the remaining buildings Mannschaftshaus 2, administrative buildings and the fence with entrance gate under monument protection.
