For sale is an original WW2 Imperial Japanese Unissued Air Defence Type 91/95 Gas Mask & Original Pouch. This Gas mask, comes with its original unused filter with its original cap and label still attached. This gas mask and bag is in excellent condition.
This particular design has a bakelite filter housing, which has the exhale valve on the back. The air intake goes directly into "Tissot" tubes, which direct the air right onto the lenses, to help with fogging, a common issue for all gas masks. The lenses are retained by fixed clamped lenses, these lenses are in excellent condition. The thick lenses, and solidly attached. The rubberized canvas of the mask is in excellent condition, and can be moved without taking damage. The canvas straps are all intact, and the buckles have minimal rust. The filter is correctly stamped. These are always difficult to find in any condition, much more difficult with almost all the parts (in which this gas mask, filter and carry case is complete).
