For sale is a WW1 Victory Medal To Sergeant A V C West East Lancashire Regiment & Research.
This victory medal is engraved on the rim “36774 Sjt A V C West E Lan R”.
Aubrey Vernon Charles West was born in 1888 in Lincoln. His trade in 1911 was a bee house keeper.
During World War One Aubrey served with the 7th east Lancashire regiment at the rank of sergeant.
Aubrey was entitled to a British war medal and a victory medal. Unfortunately only the victory medal is present.
Sadly in 1945 Aubrey passed away. Mentioned in a news paper it states “WEST Aubrey Vernon Charles of 28 Montpelier avenue Blackpool died 15 April 1945 Administration Lancaster 5 May to Sarah Enimeline West widow Effects £190 6s. 23.”
