For is a Victorian 1880s British Order Of St George Red Cross Silver Hallmarked Medal. The medal is silver hallmarked with a “passant lion” sterling silver 925, the medal is in the shape of a cross which is Silver, and then centre to this is red enamel, and then in the very centre is a silver St George & the dragon, this is riveted to the centre. In brilliant condition, however there is a small chip in the enamel on the right hand side. This medal was Awarded for bravery, acts of courage Etc. Guaranteed original or money back.
