For sale is a WW1 British War Medal To Pte A Gillies 2nd Light Field Ambulance RAMC.

 
This British war medal is engraved on the rim “93178 Pte A Gillies RAMC”. 
 
Alfred Gillies was born in 1880 and lived at Balgray Tower in Glasgow Scotland. 
 
Alfred enlisted on the 12th of October 1915. Alfred served in France theatre of war. Alfred served at the 2/2nd LFA Light field ambulance RAMC royal army medical corps. 
 
Alfred was entitled to a British war medal, victory medal and good conduct badge, unfortunately only the British war medal is present. 
 
Alfred was discharged from the territorial army on the 31st of March 1920 after serving 4 years and 172 days of service.
