For sale is a WW1 Medal Grouping To Stoker Thomas Arthur Hallam Royal Navy & Research.
This medal grouping is engraved to SS.113389 (PO.B.9341) T.A.Hallam.Sto.1.R.F.R, and consists of a 1914-1915 star, war medal, victory medal and a loyal service & good conduct Royal Fleet Reserve medal.
This medal group belongs to Thomas Arthur Hallam, who was born on the 17th of November 1894 in Derby. Thomas’s occupation upon enlisting was a moulder. Thomas was baptised on the 12th December 1894 at St Werburgh Church in Derby.
Thomas enlisted into the Royal Navy on the 18th January in 1913. He was aged 18 years and 2 months old upon enlisting. His completion upon enlisting was the following; his height was 5ft 5 inches, light brown, blue eyes and had a fresh complexion.
Thomas served on a range of ships and Royal Navy land establishments including Victory II, st Vincent, dolphin, vindictous, victory I and Comus. Whilst serving Thomas served as a Stoker which was someone that specialised in Engine-Room duties.
During Thomas’s time servicing in the Royal Navy he was issued and awarded a 1914-15 star, war medal, victory medal, and long service medal which are all present.
Discharged 1st of August 1919. After 6 years and 6 months of service. He then joined the Royal Navy reserve until the 15th of February 1935, which was a further 15 years and 6 months of service.
