For sale is a beautiful 1880s antique Japanese Meiji hand painted gilt gold floral and swallow and patterned black lacquered wood and faux tortoiseshell jewellery box. Measuring 18cm x 18cm x 3.4cm. Only the top is covered in tortoise shell, the sides and bottom from black lacquered wood. Condition is fair, chips in the faux tortoise shell on corners and edges so please see photos.
