19th Century French Napoleonic Ormolu & Vitrine Hieroglyphic Casket

For sale is a beautiful Antique 19th century French Napoleon III Hieroglyphic Egyptian Revival Gilt Ormolu & Beveled Glass Vitrine Jewellery Casket. This jewellery casket is exceptionally detailed with clear decorative hieroglyphics covering the entire outside of the casket. 

From the photographs you can get an idea of just how interesting, unique and rare the style & decoration is. influenced by Napoleon's Egyptian (1798-1801) campaigns, made popular and incorporated into all sorts of arts, furniture, decorative and silver wares. 

This beautiful casket even has its original opulent tufted blue silk padded liner, unfortunately he sides of the inside of the casket are a little worn. The hinge is in great working condition and it closes/catches with ease. This beautiful piece measures 6.4cm in length x 5cm width x 4cm height. This beautiful casket rests on four decoratively styled bun feet.
