For sale is a beautiful Antique Late 19th Century Tibetan Buddhist Kapala Tantric Silver Mounted Offering Skull. This is an original item and not a resin reproduction, this is guaranteed original or money back guaranteed. 

 

The Tibetan skull cup (Kapala or Thod-pa) is used in tantric Buddhist ritual practices to represent the transformation of delusion into perfect wisdom. The skull also symbolises Great Bliss and is a potent symbol of impermanence. Traditionally crafted from the human cranium , sacred monkey skull or and a ram skull. it is one of the principal practice supports of the Tibetan Buddhist or Vajrayana yogin. 

 

This kapala skull is elaborately mounted with precious metals (in this case silver) and a single jewel to the top of the cranium. The precious metals are shaped in important Hindu/ Buddhist symbols like the lotus flower, skulls, dragons and other fancy decoration , Which is in excellent detail. This will be sent via special delivery and dispatched within two to three working day’s.

 

This Kapala Skull is made from an original crab-eating macaque (macaca fascicularis). This is an original kapala piece produced in the late 19th century, pre dating 1947, and the skull had been modified/ worked fromits original state. There are specific circumstances where you do not need an Article 10 certificate. Worked specimens that you got in their finished state before 3 March 1947 only. Therefor no A10 is required for the commercial sale/ or ownership of this original Kapala piece.
