For sale is a large WW2 period Irish national flag, which measures 251cm X 162cm. This was produced during the 1930s to 1940s most likely for a government building, bank or factory. The flag is of multi panel construction and has reinforced corners next to the margin. Unfortunately there is no stamp on the margin showing the date or makers mark, however the construction of this flag points to it being produced during the 1930s to 1940s period. Also unfortunately the guide rope has been replaced with a nylon rope, there is also a fair bit of damage from wear and moth holes mostly round the edges and sides of the flag. However the flag is in still bright and non faded. This would be a great addition to a war time Irish collection. This will be sent via Royal Mail special delivery and dispatched within two working days.
