This postcard holds the regimental emblem & insignia of Worcestershire regiment.
The Worcestershire Regiment claim to have the proudest title won by any regiment in battle-that of "Firm." The regiment dates from 1694, and is one of the very few British infantry regiments entitled to a Naval battle honour, that of "1st June, 1794," for gallant ser- vices rendered on board Lord Howe's fleet as Marines in the great victory of that date.
