For sale is a Post WW2 1970 Cyprus British Army Royal Engineers Caps To Major A W Hill. These caps came with two pieces of paperwork one dated 2nd February 1970 and titled “Temporary identity card”.
This shows his service number 488801, rank at the time 2nd Lieutenant, Christian name Alan William and surname Hills. Height 5’10 inches, colour of hair was fair, blue eyes, distinguishing marks 3” scar left thigh. Date of birth 16-12-1942, religious views Church of England, sex male, blood group A positive.
The second piece of paperwork is titled “British forces in Cyprus”. Certifying that the underbakes is a member of the British forces in Cyprus. This is dated 10th January 1970. The kharki cap is named inside Maj A W Hills RE. Suggesting he was promoted to major at some point.
Both caps are in great condition and come with some paperwork mentioned above. These will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
