For sale is a WW2 Prisoner Of War Royal West African Frontier Force Aluminium Cigarette Case Which is Engraved Nigeria 1945 in the inside. This is beautifully decorated and in good condition.
There was an organised craft industry in internment and prisoner-of-war camps. Many prisoners made decorative boxes which were then sold for small profit, to pass time, or to send to relatives/ friends back home. The quality and style of trinket box varied upon the skills of the men and the materials available.
