The town of Bruay-la-Buissière (Pas-de-Calais, France) was a highly strategic, vital logistical and medical hub located just 15 to 16 km behind the front lines in the Artois sector during World War I.

Bruay sat in the coalfields of the Pas-de-Calais. During the war, it hosted the 22nd Casualty Clearing Station and served as the headquarters for the British I Corps and the French Tenth Army. The Bruay Communal Cemetery Extension contains over 400 Commonwealth burials, nearly half of which are Canadian troops.

This is in good condition and measures 8.6cm diameter x 35cm height.
