For sale is a Post WW2 Cold War Royal Air Force RAF Aircrew Oxygen Mask Type P2A & Case.
The oxygen mask provides two services to the aircrew: Breathing oxygen, microphone for communication. This is one of the pressure demand oxygen masks that are able to be used in the Lightning. This original example of a Type P2A oxygen mask is in remarkable shape given it's possible age, and noting that A.P.1182E (paragraph 60) states that 9 months is a typical service life for the rubber facepiece in the UK, and 6 months overseas. It uses the early Type 59 microphone and Type 1273 switch. As the P2A does not include an anti-suffocation valve, it is intended for use with a Mk.1 PEC hose.
This is in mostly good condition, some rusting to catches on the case and chips to the paint work on the box.
This will be sent via Royal Mail tracked 24 and dispatched within two working days.
