WW2 German K98 Parade Bayonet Officers Letter Opener

For sale is a Rare German Pre-WW2 Patriotic K98 Dress Bayonet Letter Opener With Pommel. 

These were made as patriotic desk pieces prior to the start of WW2. 

The 185mm single edged blade. The blade terminates in a spear point and is in good condition.

The hilt is in good condition with some very mild discolouration and shallow pitting to the flattened birds head pommel. This is a nicely detailed piece. The sheaf is made from leather, unfortunately the blade is rather rusty (please see photos for more details). 

This is an interesting and scarce pre WW2 patriotic souvenir letter opener made in the build up to WW2.
