For sale is a Rare WW2 German Ostarbeiter Polish/ Eastern Workers “P” Badge.

This is in excellent condition and measures 3.7cm in diameter and is maker marked on the back.

The badge functioned as a "badge of shame" intended to segregate Poles in public, prevent fraternization with the German populace, and strip them of association with Polish national symbols.

The badge has a violet border, a violet coloured P, and a yellow background.

The “P" badge was introduced on 8 March 1940 by the Nazi Germany General Government in relation to the requirement that Polish workers (Zivilarbeiter) used during World War II as forced laborers in Germany (following the German invasion and occupation of Poland in 1939) display a visible symbol marking their ethnic origin.

These are usually seen in fabric form, but there are several known examples of pin back badges.

This will be sent via Royal Mail tracked 24 and dispatched within two working days.
