For sale is a WW2 British Home Front Baby/ Infants Gas Mask 1939 Dated Which is in excellent condition.
The government feared that Nazi Germany might attack with poisonous gas bombs. Babies had special respirators like this one. When all the flaps were folded in place and the straps fastened the baby was totally enclosed. Filtered air was then pumped in by hand.
