WW1 Silver US Army Victory Letter Opener Book Marker La Victoire

For sale is a Rare WW1 Solid Silver United States Army Victory Letter Opener and Book Marker. This stunning multi functional tool can be used as a letter opener, book marker clip, or as a excellent display piece. On one side of the letter opener, there is the text “glory to the United States” with a United States Army soldier driving a spear through the Prussian eagles chest. Followed by the reverse which has the words “la victoire” which means Victory in French, with Marianne (a symbol of the French Republic) holding a sword in one hand and a French flag in the other with a well dressed lady holding her, in a victorious position. 

This beautiful piece measures 12.3cm in length x 2.8cm with head x 12cm letter opener. I believe this is a one of piece as we’ve had difficulty finding another like it.
