For sale is a Post WW2 General Hospital Nottingham 1951 Birmingham Silver Hallmarked Nurses Badge.
A scarce original circa 1951 period 'General Hospital Nottingham nurses badge' in the form of a fine quality large silver gilt shield inlaid with red translucent enamelling, depicting the 'Arms of Nottingham' a green enamel ragged Cross mounted with three highly defined 'Ducal Coronets' and a blue scroll 'G.H.N' within green laurel sprays; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1951, maker's details 'V&S' (Vaughton & Sons Birmingham) and official issue number '998'. Good condition, complete with a pin fitting replacement hook with roller catch in good working order, enamel flake to lower right side.
