MEMORIAL SPEECH for our Mr. Carl Auguſt Bagel held at the memorial service of the members of the three bagel companies on July 15, 1941 by Auguſt 6 ahm. Dear work colleagues! An event that is still incomprehensible for all of us is the occasion for our meeting today in the Rameradſchaftshaus, where our highly trained manager, Mr. Carl Auguſt Bagel, ſ often ſ A beard chick set a goal far too soon for a life at the age of 39. some of us worked together with Mr. Carl Auguſt Bagel twenty years ago. Many of us have witnessed the growth and maturation of this personality to become an operator of rare abilities and esteemed traits. Only a few were fortunate enough to work closely with him to let an keenness and goodness of heart work on me to the highest degree. Even if Mr. Carl Auguſt Bagel - his extensive knowledge and experience - also benefited other companies, a paternal inheritance was close to one heart. Time and again he devoted one thought to the printer, the publishing house and the paper mill. To the less initiated it might sometimes seem as if ours.

Anniversary of her twenty-five years of activity at Hauſe Bagel. At the same time, ten of the male members of the retinue celebrated their 25th anniversary, three celebrated their 40th anniversary and one celebrated their 50th anniversary with the company. Within ten years, thirty-four members of the staff with a total employment period of 1273 years have either been retired or passed away through death. Of these, the workmates with the shortest employment period were twenty-six years, with the longest employment period fifty-two and sixty-one years respectively. On average, these thirty-four work colleagues have been employed for more than thirty-seven years. In accordance with the national socialiſtic requirement that the proprietors of the companies should come to the fore as entrepreneurs and be personally responsible for their operations, the legal form of a stock corporation at the Bagel company was incorporated with effect from December 15, 1936 converted into a limited partnership. In the middle of an unparalleled economic rise, the enemies in Oſt und Weſt forced war on the German people. Right at the start of the fighting, the younger of the two owners, Mr. Gerd Bagel, and with him a large number of his followers, rushed to the flags. For those who stayed at home, it was necessary to double their efforts in order to meet all requirements. During the struggle for the world historical decision against Russia, the Bagel company suffered an unpleasant loss due to the sudden death of its owner and manager, Carl Auguſt Vagel. Out of this wdeveloped blow, Mr. Gerd Vagel, who is now several managers, and all his followers have a double duty of tireless and loyal office work in order to further advance the work of the deceased in a ghost. Printed as a manuscript. Responsible: A. Gahm, DüsseldorF.

Just as our ancestors did not receive the soil on which we stand today from heaven, but had to fight for through life's work, so today and in the future, the soil and with it life will not grant us total grace, but only that Power of a swaying sword. 7e the more loer and the harder we all take on the sacrifices, the safer we will achieve that peace which our full desires.AdolfHitler

Dear Mr. Bagel! ..., October 14, 1941. Somewhere in wide Russia, from a godforsaken Neſt, I ventured to write you a couple of axes. I've been away from my place for seven weeks now; it feels like an eternity to me. I ended up with the infantry as a medic. There is only one comrade in my garnish who still lives with me, the rest have been scattered to the wind. We are in constant advance; you also know what that means, since the “Soviet Paradise” is not unknown to you. I certainly have no illusions; but what I've done so far is more than I ever thought. We are e.g. B. once with a truck. Has been transported 30 km; that took about seven hours, and one was glad that all the bones were still intact. I will never forget the ruiſ country roads. For days it has become real winter with snow and ice flowers on the windows. The snow now destroys at least part of the jewelry; but when the sun shines again, the streets are full of morat. For the rest, however, I am doing well. Hopefully the war will end soon here in the Oden, many signs suggest it. I'm already looking forward to the moment when I can work again. Now, dear Mr. Bagel, I wish you and your company all the best for the future and with my warmest greetingsIamHeilHitler! Your Richard Lange.

Homeland ! you German country! with your mountains pine-covered peaks; with the vine-covered hills on the banks of the Rhine With the streams and fluff that loop like broad silver ribbons through fruit-bearing floodplains. with the castles that proudly and defiantly look over the villages inhabited by happy people and rule: you, neimat, we love you - you, home, we give you the most precious good: life and blood!

Dear workmates! Dear workmates! On September 10th, English bombers attacked our beautiful city again heavily. Our community mourns the death of our loyal colleague Käthe Müller and takes an active part in the hardships of those workmates who have lost everything or have suffered more or less severe damage to their belongings. A benevolent design has saved our company building from a direct hit and from fire and water damage, but it was really bad here. Now that the littleſ damage has been repaired, and the operation has for the most part got back on its feet, I feel the need to express my sincere thanks to my staff for their willingness to cooperate and their active assistance in repairing the damage. First and foremost, I would like to thank the courageous and energetic Einſat, the factory air fire chief and the men of Guard 10, who worked tirelessly on the night of the attack to prevent the fire from spreading to our operations and who averted the serious damage . The neighborly help that gave the severely affected person in Goethe street is recognized by all sides. In addition, I would like to thank the entire workforce, who, without any exception, have gauged and proven themselves in an excellent manner. Many of them deserve to be named here. If I refrain from doing this, it will happen because, on such an event, not everyone can have the opportunity to honor me in a special way. The unfamiliar and sometimes quite heavy physical work that was done voluntarily for days made many special demands. I am fully aware of the leadership that my workforce has brought to the fore over the past week, and I am proud of ie and grateful to the workforce! It is intended to encourage us to resume our professional work with renewed courage and not to let anything shake us in the future either. We want to persevere until the end of the war, in faithful commitment to one another. Düsseldorf, September 17, 1942. H H! :Guer operational management Di Legal
