For sale is a Boer War Queen Victorian 1890 One Penny carved pendent with its Necklace (I believe it may have been a brooch at one point but converted to a pendant). 

Which is accompanied by an original rice paper bag which states: 

“Arthur H. Martin SERVICE FOR THE SERVICES 89. MARKET STREET. MANCHESTER. 1. DEAnsgate 5450”

These were often made by soldiers on the front. And given to sweat hearts as a memento!
