For sale is an original 1930s to 1940s WW2 British Army Penns Easytrim Hair Cutter In Original Bag. The front of the rice paper bag states:

TRIM YOUR OWN HAIR CUTS AS IT COMBS OM PENN'S PATENT « EASYTRIM FOR USE WITH EITHER HAND Patent No. 802752

The back states: 

" EASYTRIM DIRECTIONS To trim bair with either hand comb through the hair downwards in the direction the hair lays . but on Neck use the comb upwards to remove untidy hair there . To release blade , simply with thumb on circular Thumb Grip , SLIDE TOP COMB ' TO RIGHT . To fix blade , slide top comb to LEFT which tightly and instantly locks blade ready for use . The cutting - edge of blade must of course be outwards .
