For sale is a rare WW2 London Ambulance Auxiliary Service Women’s Nurses Working Shock Proof watch.

 

 

We purchased this from the daughter of the woman who owned this watch, in which she stated her mother worked for London Ambulance Auxiliary Service during the war, and London ambulance service before and after the war as a paramedic and driver. According to the daughter the watch was bought for her mother in the early 1930s from a male friend And that she had worn this watch for the entire period of the war, and after the war.

 

 

This watch keeps excellent time, both watch and watch case is marked 11. The watch brand is marked on the front of the dial along with “shock absorber”, this watch has both a hourly and seconds clock dial, which is UV reactive and can glow in the dark.
