For sale is a WW2 1930s Period (IFL) International Friendship League - Membership Stick Pin. The International Friendship League was the German offshoot of the one in England on the 26th. International Friendship League founded September 1931 by Noel Ede. Their goal was to promote friendship between members of all nations through personal encounters. This was mainly used for trips abroad, holiday camps (so-called centers) and penpals. Between the two world wars, the organization existed mainly in England. After the Second World War, sections were founded in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. In Germany, local local groups existed in Bonn, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Leverkusen, Solingen, Wolfach in the Black Forest and Wuppertal, among others.

In 1952, the German local groups merged to form the "German Section" of the IFL, which, however, expired again in 1961 until it was re-established in the 1980s.

Today, IFL sections exist in France, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, the Netherlands, Portugal, Senegal, the Seychelles, Sweden, Togo and Uganda.

This is a beautiful crafted stick pin, with superb detailing in the oak leaves/ Wreath, a strong gold coloured gilting and a emerald green enamelling. The stick pin has the letters I.F.L.
