For sale is an original WW2 Period British Pharmaceutical Home Front Collectable that dates from the 1930s to early 1940s. This period pharmaceutical collectable is a Complete Iodex Iodine Ointment Tin with full unopened contents and original Box packaging, which are both in mint condition. What makes things a little more interesting is that this is the Physicians sample (which is marked on the box packaging). 

Iodex is used on the skin to treat or prevent skin infection in minor cuts, scrapes, or burns. Iodex is also used in a medical setting to help prevent infection and promote healing in skin wounds, pressure sores, or surgical incisions. Some forms of povidone iodine topical are used inside the mouth to provide temporary relief of minor mouth pain or irritation, sore throat, or canker sore pain. Iodex was exceptionally important during wartime Britain because keeping cuts and abrasions clean and healthy was extremely important.
